About Us

If there was a past, it seems a distant and vague dream as we are now ensconced in our piece of heaven surrounded by a deafening and quiet bliss. Elisabeth, John, D'arcy the irrepressible Flat-coated Retriever and George the wise Marremma  sheepdog are firmly settled into this blissful part of the south west and the anchors have been firmly planted.

Our transition from city dweller to country cousin has been smooth and joyful with one of our great rewards being that of meeting our guests and forging new friendships. Their delight in Donnelly is our shared reward as we are still discovering the secrets of this wonderful property.

Our familiy has also fallen under its spell with the homestead full of young and happy banter. Whilst the Homestead is undergoing a botanical transformation under Lizzie's hand, the boys are in the paddock removing all the fencing wire from the property. This was once a part of its farming history but now a constant barrier to safe passage for humans and critter alike.

Donnelly Lakes Chalets is a unique holiday destination for those seeking peace and tranquility, 'a place where time stops'.  We are still overwhelmed to be the guardians of  Donnelly Lakes and see it as a great privilege to take over from John and Renata Suckling.  We would like to thank them for creating such a wonderful place for us to build on and enjoy.

Our many thanks go to our guest photographers Jade Bell, Alex Yew and Yvonne Houghton who are also under the Donnelly spell.

We welcome you to Donnelly Lakes and hope your stay is all that you wish for and all that we can provide for.

Location: Donnelly Lakes is nestled in the spectacular Donnelly River Valley, 36 km northwest of Pemberton. Donnelly Lakes is midway between Margaret River and the  tree top walk, and is in the heart of Manjimup, Nannup and Northcliffe. An ideal destination to enjoy day trips or simply do nothing...
