There is something magical about Pemberton. I have holidayed down here many times over the years. Donnelly Lakes is by far the best place I have stayed....I loved the many walk trails....even my 14 yr old son loved staying here. It's hard to put into words how we feel about our visit.  The welcome, the settting, the chalet are second to none. The icing on the cake was Roy catching a 2 1/2 lb brown trout that gave him some sport on a fly. ...We wished we could have stayed longer. Roy and Roz, Tenerife March 2009

Our 3rd stay here at Donnelly Lakes and our best yet! This year we caught trout, our kids seem to get more out of the trip every year, the plentiful amount of kangaroos made the hide a great attraction. The river walk was awesome... we recommend drinks on the "King of the Castle" hill, on the jetty too..... thanks John and Elisabeth - fantastic job. This was the best holiday we have ever had! No phones, no TV, no radio and no kids. First holiday by ourselves for 18 years! Loved every afternoon sitting by the lake fishing and having a glass of wine with the ducks. Caught some trout, plenty of bushwalking and every night sitting in that beautiful hot spa. Thank you for a fantastic stay. The chalet is well-equipped and had everything we needed. The wrens and ducks have kept us amused for hours and then there is the fishing!  We've caught 4 during our stay and all were delicious! .... Wow! That is the best way to describe this place. We could not have wished for a better place to spend our honeymoon. The tranquility and the morning and afternoon spas were so relaxing. The canoeing up and down the lake with the ducks was fantastic, the bush walks were surprising and the afternoon drinks with the kangaroos in the paddock were amazing... Well what can I say we had the best time at Donnelly Lakes and I know when I am getting caught up in that peak hour traffic I will be thinking back to our lovely time. the beautiful scenery and most of all the peace and quiet.
